Apologies for the post a few minutes following the post below. Blogs were reporting left-and-right that he'd passed away. A number of those blogs, mostly reputable ones, have now removed their posts. No official word yet. Last official word, which came from his label, is that singer-songwriter Vic Chesnutt is in a coma.

Apologies again. I hope those early reports of his passing were false.
